Facility Information

Accessibility – First Baptist Church is handicapped accessible. We have both an elevator and a chair lift; both enable members and visitors access to our sanctuary. The elevator also provides service to our classrooms located above our gymnasium on the third floor.

Cemetery - Maple Shade Cemetery is our church cemetery; it is located on Vley Road (opposite Blair Lumber). It was established when the church property was first deeded to us in the 1830s. Space is available. Interested parties should contact the church secretary for details.

Christian Library – We have a nice library located in back of the sanctuary. It contains both books and videos. Individuals may loan them out.

Fellowship Room - Below our Sanctuary is a large room that can be used for meetings, receptions, and other types of medium sized gatherings. It is bright, carpeted, and quite comfortable. Being close to our kitchen, it is also often utilized for smaller dinner functions. The restrooms are located directly off this room.

Gymnasium – In 1928 we added a wonderful and useful gymnasium to the back of the Church. It is utilized for a number of various functions, including dinners, rummage sales, Men's basketball, Senior Pickleball, Scotia-Glenville food pantry and parties.

Kitchen – next to our gymnasium is our well equipped professional kitchen from which we are able to hold large dinner parties.
