Community Services

Berea is a group of ambitious, supportive women who take our various missions seriously by caring for others, making and giving favors on Easter and Christmas to our nursing home patients and giving to our food pantries. These activities are funded primarily through our monthly rummage and pecan sales. In addition, we sponsor a Mother & Daughter Banquet, held each year around Mothers' Day.

Food Pantry at First Baptist Church is open to residents of Scotia and Glenville (only). The times are Tuesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Contact Janice Cooper (399-9426) and Marilou Hogan (377-4073) for more information.

Men's Breakfast at First Baptist is served every Tuesday at 6 a.m. It provides an opportunity for Christian men to share some time together in prayer and interesting conversation. The cost is only $2.00 and all are welcome. Come join us! Entry is on the East side of the church, which is the side with the "small" parking lot.

Men's Basketball is open to local men from age 18 and up. It is held every Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. The community is welcome to join us.

Prayer & Praise Form is a form used by anyone wishing to have a prayer said for them, their family, their friends, or for any reason. It is also a form used to praise someone or some particular action or event. [ Use Prayer/Praise Form ]

Prayer Meetings are held weekly from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday nights. The community is welcome to join us.

Bible Study groups for men and women are held weekly from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday nights immediately following prayer meetings.
